April is National Child Abuse Prevention month. Every child needs a hero, but abused and neglected children need a superhero. To bring awareness to the issue in our community, Lincoln County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is hosting the 1st Annual CASA superhero 5K, Saturday, April 13th.
Lincoln County CASA’s mission is to advocate, support, and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children, striving to secure a safe and permanent home for each child. Proceeds from the 5K will benefit our local CASA program in efforts to recruit and train CASA volunteers who will give a “voice” to abused and neglected children.
You can support the program by becoming a sponsor of the race and/or participating in the race itself.
