The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has declared Lincoln County a Primary Natural Disaster Area.

Lincoln County and 89 other Nebraska Counties have now been given the designation due to the drought that continues to plague the State.

The designation means that producers in the area are now eligible for low interest emergency loans through the USDA to help recoup production losses that are expected this year.
