Broncos Home Field Now ‘Sports Authority Field At Mile High’

The home of the Denver Broncos has a brand new name. Denver-based Sports Authority, a sporting goods company, purchased the naming rights to the Broncos home stadium from Invesco, and the Metropolitan Football Stadium District unanimously voted to change the stadium’s name to Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The ten-year old stadium had been known as Invesco Field at Mile High since it opened. Sports Authority owns the naming rights for the next ten years. The Broncos are 86-74 at the new stadium since it replaced the original Mile High Stadium in 2001. The stadium has also hosted numerous concerts and the 2008 Democratic National Convention. The first game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High will be this Saturday, when the Broncos host the Buffalo Bills in a preseason contest.
