Those interested in the outdoors and science have the opportunity to become master naturalists under a program offered through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Participants in the Nebraska Master Naturalist Program will get nearly 60 hours of in-depth training, led by experts in their fields. The program offers knowledge about Nebraska’s ecosystems, plants and animals, conservation biology and more.
Those interested can participate in one of four training sessions around the state. Training sessions are:
— June 16-22 at the Niobrara Valley Preserve near Ainsworth
— July 14-20 at Pioneers Park and Spring Creek near Lincoln
— Aug. 10-16 at Fort Robinson State Park near Crawford
— Sept. 8-14 at Niobrara Valley Preserve near Ainsworth
