Larry Joe Juhl, 66, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died May 8, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV.
He was born November 21, 1946 in Gothenburg, NE, son of Joseph Burton Juhl and Dorothy Marie (Sabin) Juhl.
Larry grew up in the Cozad and Gothenburg area. He attended Cozad schools and graduated from Kearney High School. He served his country in the US Army (1966-1968 and 1980-1983) where he was a medical specialist and a unit supply specialist. On September 29, 1981 he married Naomi Fish in Columbus, GA. Larry was the father of four children – David Lynn, Thorin Kirkendall, Crystal Lee, and Mistienne. Larry lived in many places including – Nebraska, Colorado, Minnesota, Washington, Alaska, Kentucky, Georgia, New Mexico, Texas, California, Nevada, and Germany. He worked as a respiratory therapist, a pharmacy tech, OR tech, CNA and was the owner/operator of Tatanka and Tiki Hut. Larry enjoyed music, movies, balsa wood airplanes and history.
Surviving are wife, Naomi May Juhl, two sons – David Lynn Juhl (daughter-in-law Suyean and grandson Alex), Thorin Kirkendall Juhl; two daughters – Crystal Lee Juhl, Mistienne Juhl, brother – Riley Del Juhl; sister – Karen A. Gilb (brother-in-law Theodore J.); brother-in-law and sister-in-law – John & Vivian Childers of Denver; along with many extended family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by father, Joseph Burton Juhl; mother, Dorothy Marie Juhl; step mother, Laura Juhl; sister, Linda Joy Juhl.
Graveside services will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:30 am with Father Don O’Brien officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
