The Douglas County Attorney’s Office says it won’t file criminal charges against a woman shot by an Omaha police officer after she threatened police.
Charges won’t be filed against 52-year-old Paula K. Moen.
An officer shot Moen on May 9 at her mother’s home after officers say she threatened them with a knife and 12-gauge flare gun.
Moen, who received a chest wound, has been released from a hospital.
She had faced possible charges of assaulting a police officer and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Police encountered Moen after a responding to a report of loud music.
