(AP) — The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting a field day focused on weed management in corn and soybeans.

The event is scheduled for July 2 at the university’s south central agricultural laboratory, near Clay Center. A special session will offer an on-site demonstration for control of glyphosate-resistance giant ragweed in corn.

The day will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m., and end at 2:15 p.m. The field day is free and includes lunch.

The laboratory is located about 13 miles east of Hastings, on U.S. Highway 6.
