NP Man Gets Rowdy with Police at the Wild West Arena

A 42-year-old North Platte man was jailed on several misdemeanor charges after a brawl led to a scuffle with North Platte Police.

On June 22 at around 1:15 a.m, Officers with the North Platte Police Department were providing security at the Wild West Arena when they observed Johnny Pankonin engaged in a fight with 23-year-old Michael Foust.

While Officers were attempting to intervene and place Pankonin under arrest, he continued to struggle and refused to comply with orders.

Eventually, Officers were able to subdue Pankonin.

He was transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center and charged with 3rd Degree Assault-Mutual, Obstructing Police and Resisting Arrest.

Foust was also cited and released for 3rd Degree Assault-Mutual.
