(AP) — Omaha police are searching for a man they say has repeatedly and violently attacked a woman.

Police say 30-year-old Ardelle Dunlap is charged in an arrest warrant with felony strangulation for one such attack.

Police believe he attacked the same woman again on Tuesday, pistol whipping her and stealing her vehicle. Police found him later in the day, but he fled on foot and escaped capture.

Police say Dunlap is believed to be armed and dangerous and under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs.

Investigators are asking anyone who sees Dunlap no to approach him, but to call 911 to report his whereabouts.
