(AP) — A Lincoln attorney has announced plans to run for the Nebraska Legislature.
Adam Morfeld will file state campaign papers to seek the seat held by state Sen. Danielle Conrad, of Lincoln. Conrad is ineligible to run in 2014 because of term limits.
Morfeld is the executive director of Nebraskans for Civic Reform. He says he plans to focus his campaign on education, job-training programs and workforce development.
Morfeld earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He serves of the boards of the Daily Nebraskan student newspaper, the veterans advocacy group Boot Straps and Beyond, and the University of Nebraska College of Law Young Alumni Council.
The legislative district includes parts of downtown and north Lincoln, including the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
