(AP) — Authorities say an Omaha pedestrian who was severely injured after being hit by a minivan has died.
Omaha police say 19-year-old Jerome Collier died Tuesday from injuries sustained during the July 11 crash. An autopsy was conducted Wednesday.
Police say Collier was crossing an intersection when he was struck by a Chrysler minivan driven by 30-year-old Jaclyn Hascall. A witness told police that Collier was on his cell phone at the time of the collision.
Police say they’re investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash. Additional information has not been released.
