Judith Ann “Judy” White, 69, of North Platte, NE, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, surrounded by her family at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
Judy was born September 22, 1943, to Hilbert Edward “Boss” and Virginia Marie Curtis Waechter at North Platte, NE where she grew up. Judy graduated from St. Patrick’s High School with the class of 1961 then went to the Denver School of Business where she met Ramond G. Krzykowski. They were married in 1962 at North Platte where they lived and raised four children. Judy worked for J.C. Penney’s for 18 years.
In 1996 Judy married Robert Jon “Bob” White at Valentine, NE and made their home in North Platte before moving to the Frontier Resort at Lake Maloney. They began managing the Cafe and camp ground there in 2002.
She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Auxiliary. Judy loved her family, friends and nights on the mule watching the sunset. She also liked pontoon rides, Tweety Bird and sunshine and was an avid Husker fan. She and Bob loved to spend their winters enjoying the sun in Zihuatenjo, Mexico.
Judy is survived by her husband, Bob, of Lake Maloney; her mother, Virginia Waechter, of North Platte; three daughters, Pamela Mannon, Amy (Alan) White and Jill Krzykowski, all of North Platte; two sons, Brian Krzykowski (special friend, Andrid Olson), of North Platte and Justin (Mandy) White, of Lincoln, NE; 10 grandchildren, Jami (Matt) Comer, Alarie White (Evan Correll), Melisa Hongsermeier (Trent Sprague), Greg Krzykowski, Nicholas Krzykowski, Sid Simants, Seth Simants, Quade White, Sydney White and Sunney White; and five great-grandchildren, Caden Comer, Alecea Comer, Derrick Kuhlmann, Jaleigh Comer and Tatum Sprague.
She is also survived by a brother, Bill Waechter, of Loveland, CO; her sister, Peggy (Jeff) Orr, of North Platte; two brothers-in-law, Gary (Diane) White, of Idaho and Bruce (Kathy) White, of Kearney, NE; a sister-in-law, Vicki (Stuart) Holmes, of North Platte; many nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her many friends including Paula Patterson and Tom Hongsermeier, of North Platte, Bob and Rosalie McClellen, of Hershey, NE and their traveling companions to Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her father, Boss Waechter; her father and mother-in-law, Conner and Frances White; and a brother, Jim Waechter.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore. The memorial book may be signed from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore or at odeanchapel.com. The family has established a memorial.
