KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) — The University of Nebraska at Kearney says it will be introducing its new athletic director on Wednesday.

UNK says the director will be introduced at a 9 a.m. news conference at the UNK Health and Sports Center.

Among the four finalists was Jean Berger, who has been senior associate athletic director/senior woman administrator at the University of Northern Iowa since 2008.

The university has been seeking a replacement for Jon McBride. He announced in May that he was stepping down for health reasons.
