The North Platte Bulldogs softball team earned their first win of the season with a 10-1 victory at Lexington last night, in a game called after five innings due to the mercy rule. Freshman Mackensie Wiseman hit a solo home run as part of the Bulldogs’ fifteen-hit attack. Ashten Hernandez had four of those hits and drove in a pair of runs, and also earned the win in the circle, allowing a run on six hits in her four innings of work. Sydney Standage had a pair of RBI as well. The Bulldogs are now 1-5 on the season. They play in Kearney against Lincoln High and Lincoln East tomorrow afternoon.
