(AP) — A 39-year-old Columbus man has been charged with two counts of distributing child pornography.
Police arrested Edward Johnson after received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to a five-month investigation.
Platte County Judge Frank Skorupa appointed a public defender to represent Johnson and set Johnson’s bond at $150,000. His next hearing has been set for Sept. 12.
Police say Internet records show that an account belonging to Johnson was used to post photos of child pornography.
