(AP) — The attorney for a 16-year-old accused of attempted murder in North Platte wants the case moved to juvenile court.
At a hearing Monday, a plea of not guilty was entered for Jordan Baker. Baker’s attorney said he intends to file a motion to move the case to juvenile court.
He is accused in the stabbing of two workers at the Nebraska Youth Center. Authorities say the Baker and an 18-year-old, Keenan Lambert, stabbed the workers on July 9 and then fled in one of the workers’ vehicles.
The two were captured in Dawson County as they traveled down Interstate 80. The two women were hospitalized.
