SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (AP) — A Scottsbluff man has pleaded guilty to charges in connection with the death of a dog he threw against a wall.
KNEB radio reports (http://bit.ly/18d0B1z ) 29-year-old Richard Mackin was arrested Wednesday night after officers responded to a domestic disturbance report.
Court documents say Mackin threw the dog against a wall, breaking its neck after becoming upset around his girlfriend’s children.
During Mackin’s first appearance Friday in Scotts Bluff County Court, he entered guilty pleas to third-degree domestic assault and cruelty to animals. Both are misdemeanors.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 4.
