(AP) — Dozens of homeless children in Grand Island public schools will have warm coats this winter thanks to a donation by an organization of human resources professionals in central Nebraska.
Central Nebraska Human Resources Management Association is providing coats for 68 homeless children in Grand Island Public Schools. Last year the organization donated 33 coats.
The central Nebraska human resources group also is donating 38 coats for students in Kearney and 37 in Hastings.
Members of the association shop for new coats with money from the organization’s charitable fund.
