(AP) — Authorities are investigating a fire at an Omaha senior living facility that injured one person.
The Irvington Volunteer Fire Department says the fire started Friday morning on the third floor of a resident’s room at the Woodbridge Senior Village. A sprinkler system put out the blaze.
Officials say the woman living inside the room suffered burns and smoke inhalation. She was taken to a nearby hospital.
Other residents were evacuated and no other injuries were reported. Some units had water damage from the sprinkler system.
The state fire marshal is investigating what caused the fire.
