(AP) — A man in the Nebraska Panhandle has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a rural home.
The Scotts Bluff County sheriff’s office says 34-year-old William King Jr., of Minatare, was arrested Monday as he was walking out of a cornfield near the burglarized home east of Morrill.
Authorities had been investigating two break-ins at the house on Monday. King later told investigators he entered the house and stole items including belt buckles and watches. A suspect had been reported earlier running into a cornfield.
King faces two counts of burglary. Court records do not list an attorney.
