LaDonna Mae Fuller

LaDonna Mae Fuller, age 88, of North Platte, passed away November 5, 2013 at Garden County Health Services Nursing Home in Oshkosh, NE. She was born October 25, 1925 in Elm Creek, NE to Orie and Mae Balyeat Marshall. LaDonna grew up in Elm Creek, graduating from Elm Creek High School. She attended Hastings College for a year. LaDonna worked at the Ammunition Depot in Hastings during WWII. She met Dale Fuller and the couple was wed on September 5, 1945 in Phillipsburg, KS. The two celebrated 65 years of marriage on September 5, 2010. Dale and LaDonna lived in Bertrand and McCool Junction before settling in North Platte in 1953 where they owned and operated the Buffalo Bill Trading Post. In 1968 they moved to Brady where they owned and operated the Buffalo Bill TeePee until retirement in 1988. LaDonna enjoyed exotic animals, providing many of the animals at Cody Park for over 40 years. She was active in the Methodist Churches in North Platte and Brady. She enjoyed playing cards and games.
She is survived by her children, Montie (Maurine) Fuller of North Platte, Linda (Jack) Frye of Silver City, Iowa, Wayne (Kathy) Fuller of Kearney, Vickie (Rich) Buhrman of Gretna and Valerie (Kevin) Vincent of Oshkosh; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Williams of Georgia and Lucretia Fischer of Oregon; sisters-in-law, Clara Marshall of Elm Creek and Wanda Marshall of Kearney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in 2010; siblings, Vivian, Keith, and Basil; and an infant grandson, Brian Fuller.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. Douglas Delp officiating. Burial will follow in the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today and 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
