Chandler Lee Ray Snyder, age 17, of North Platte, passed away November 2, 2013. He was born December 14, 1995 in North Platte to Angela Snyder. Chandler attended McDaid Elementary, and was currently a senior at North Platte High School. He was a fun, loving and caring kid. Family was extremely important to him, reaching out to distant family and forming relationships with them. He was always willing to be of help to anyone especially his grandma Della. He very much enjoyed music, being with friends and his pickup truck. He also enjoyed his uncle’s labrador dogs, hunting, and fishing, He was a volunteer in the community. Chandler was a member at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where he was baptized and received 1st communion. Survivors include his mother, Angela Snyder of North Platte; grandmother, Della Johnston of North Platte; aunts and uncles, Audrey (Travis) Thompson of Lincoln, Corwin (Helen Kramer) Snyder of Hershey, Keven Snyder of Lincoln and Calvin Snyder of North Platte; cousins, Amber Snyder, Heather Snyder, Marcus Snyder, Jennifer Cole and Derek Snyder; father, James Callaghan Jr. of Grand Island; grandmother, Mary Ellen Barnes of Grand Island; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Snyder; great-grandmother Bette Jane Bockus; great-aunt, Betty Lou Enyeart; and cousin, Dusty Enyeart; and also his family dog, Kista. Memorials may be made in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Christian Wake Services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend James Golka as celebrant. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
