(AP) — Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 First Lady’s Community Service Awards.

The annual award series honors people, schools, organizations and companies that have made a positive impact through volunteering and service in Nebraska. It’s hosted by the Nebraska Volunteer Service Commission.

The deadline for submissions is Feb. 15. Nominations can be made online athttp://1.usa.gov/I7KOMU .

The honors will be presented on April 11 at the Thompson Alumni Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
