William P. “Bill” Dolge, of Duncan, Nebraska, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at his home in Duncan.
Bill was born November 17, 1958, to Walter and Betty (Rich) Dolge in North Platte, Nebraska where he grew up. He later served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1977 to December 1978. Following his discharge, Bill returned to North Platte where he worked construction for most of his life.
Bill married Debra Dush on July 4, 2004, in North Platte. The couple moved to Duncan in 2011. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and fixing things. His family and friends were very important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Dolge, of Duncan; his daughter, Jonna Dolge, of Denver, CO; a stepdaughter, Amanda McLaughlin, of Columbus, NE; his stepson, Travis McLaughlin, of Omaha, NE; a grandson, Madix Schleich; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and D’Ette Dush, of Duncan; a brother, Doug Dolge, of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters, Monta Dolge-Storm, of Yankton, SD and Kelley Falkena, of Lincoln, NE; many nieces, nephews and other family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Betty Dolge, and his aunt, Clarice Wachal.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus, NE with Pastor Dan Odom officiating. Visitation in North Platte will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore followed by a graveside funeral service with military honors at 11 a.m. in the North Platte Cemetery with Gary Smith officiating.
