Broncos Earn First Win As Orton Throws Two TDs

The much-maligned Kyle Orton delivered a victory for the Denver Broncos on Sunday, throwing two touchdown passes as the Broncos sneaked past the Cincinnati Bengals 24-22 at Sports Authority Field. Both of Orton’s scoring strikes were caught by Eric Decker, whose second TD of the game gave the Broncos a 24-15 lead early in the fourth quarter. The Bengals added a touchdown to get within two points and had the ball inside of two minutes, but could not get into field goal range. Willis McGahee rushed for 101 yards to help balance the Bronco offense. Bronco fans clamoring for Tim Tebow got their wish – the third-string quarterback lined up at wide receiver on a couple of plays after injuries depleted the Broncos reserves at that position. The 1-1 Broncos visit the Tennessee Titans next Sunday.
