John David Lindenberger, 46, of North Platte, passed away Dec. 18, 2013 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, after a battle with leukemia. He was born Sept 8, 1967 to David Allen and Karen Kay (Grose) Lindenberger at Englewood, CO. He graduated Farmington High School in Farmington, New Mexico. On Feb. 4, 2006, he was united in marriage to Sali Gale in North Platte, NE. John was employed for 8 years as a news editor at Holyoke Enterprise, 5 years as education reporter for The North Platte Telegraph and for the last three and half years he was a mentor coordinator for Community Connections. He enjoyed coin collecting, model trains, and geocaching. He attended Bethel Church, was president for the board of Rape and Domestic Abuse and on the board of directors for Lincoln County CASA. John is survived by his wife, Sali; son, Joshua both of North Platte; his parents of Arvada, CO; two brothers, Jeff (Lisa) Lindenberger of Arvada, CO and James (Tracy) Lindenberger of Jackson, CA; nieces, Anna and Alex; nephew, Zack; an aunt, Doris Donaldson; a cousin, Tracy Donaldson and her son, Andrew. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Sat. Dec. 21, 2013 at Bethel Church with Rev. Dan Reimer officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Mentoring Program or the Lindenberger Family.
