FIRTH, Neb. (AP) — Authorities are trying to determine what caused an explosion that leveled a rural southeast Nebraska home.
The explosion happened Wednesday afternoon near Firth, blasting debris up to 200 feet from the brick home.
Authorities say no one was inside the home at the time and no injuries were reported from the explosion.
A resident said four people lived in the home and that a man who lived there was working in a detached shop at the time of the explosion.
Firefighters from Firth, Cortland and Adams spent around an hour getting the fire that followed the explosion under control.
