North Platte – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights’ Samantha Kennedy was named to the 2013 World-Herald All-Nebraska Junior College team. The team consists of four players from Central Community College, three from Western Nebraska Community College and Kennedy. Sandrina Hallahan, Joli Hopping and Laura Beckman were Honorable Mention selections.

Kennedy led the Lady Knights in total kills, kills per set, points and points per set. Kennedy finished the season with 386 kills to place her 23rd on the all-time single season kills list. Her 386 kills in 140 sets was good for 2.76 kills per set. Kennedy scored 449.5 points for the Lady Knights good for 3.21 points per set.

“I am very happy for Samantha (Kennedy) on here selection,” said head coach Sally Thalken. “We are excited to see the progress she makes this off-season and what she can do in her sophomore campaign.”
