Fire Displaces West Omaha Family on New Year’s Day

fire-graphic(AP) — A fire has displaced a west Omaha family, but no injuries have been reported.

The fire began around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, while a woman and her two children were home.

Omaha Fire Battalion Chief Kathy Bossman says the flames damaged only a bedroom, but there was smoke damage in other parts of the house.

The fire cause is being investigated.

The American Red Cross is helping the family.
