Rodney Joe Pooschke, age 61, of North Platte passed away January 5, 2014 in Julesburg, Colorado. He was born May 11, 1952 in Arnold, Nebraska to Ivan and Rose Clouse Pooschke. Rod graduated from Stapleton High School in 1970. He married Wilda Jividen and to this union 3 children were born, Michelle, Leeann, and Chad. He worked on the Milldale Ranch for around ten years where he hauled grain to the West Ranches. Rod continued to do trucking, working for various companies, currently working for Sellman Brothers hauling mail.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his children, Michelle Pooschke of Elkhorn, NE, LeeAnn (Larry) Roepke of Kearney, NE and Chad (Christy) Pooschke of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Logan & Lorissa; father, Ivan Pooschke of Stapleton, NE; sisters, Peggy (Kenny) Kramer of Stapleton, NE, Susan (Randy) Keith of Lexington, NE and Jackie (Gary) Herbst of North Platte, NE; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Pooschke and beloved dog Jake.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Lee Wonch officiating.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday January 9, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
