(AP) — A 35-year-old California man has been found guilty of first-degree murder for the shooting death of a Nebraska panhandle man.
A Cheyenne County District Court jury found Jason William Custer guilty for the November 2012 death of Adam McCormick, of Sidney. Custer was also convicted of two weapons counts in the case.
Custer faces a mandatory life sentence when he’s sentenced March 18.
Prosecutors said Custer shot McCormick on Nov. 3 at a Sidney house after the two men argued over $160 in drug money.
