Charlene “Char” K. Leach


LEACH CHAR

Charlene “Char” K. Leach, 67 of North Platte passed away February 10, 2014 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. She was born in Friend, Nebraska to Loarn and Octavia (Stevenson) Kelley on July 29, 1946.
Charlene was raised in Pottowattie County in Iowa and Council Bluffs. Char graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She attended culinary school in Lincoln and worked in the North Platte Public Schools System at several schools in food service, as a cook for many years. On August 5, 1985, she was united in marriage to Ebert Leach.
She loved her family and enjoyed growing flowers. Charlene was a member of the Eagles and American Vets.
Survivors include her husband, Ebert of North Platte; children, Eric Pelland and Erin (Darsha) Pelland all of North Platte, Michelle (Chris) Anunson of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Brenda Leach of Lincoln, NE, and Herbert Leach of Broken Bow, NE; daughter-in-law, Tina Pelland; grandchildren, Zathan, Courtney, Zerica, Zaylie, Ethan, Emma, Zienna, Abagail, and Johnathan; and a brother, Loarn (Jackie) Kelley of Omaha, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth; and other relatives.
Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Memorials are suggested to the Callahan Cancer Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
