The NSAA basketball postseason begins next week for some area girls basketball teams.
The girls D1-11 Subdistrict basketball tournament begins Monday, February 17 in Gothenburg. The teams were seeded according to the NSAA points system. North Platte St. Patrick’s earned the No. 1 seed with an 18-3 record on the season. The Lady Irish have a first-round bye and won’t play until Tuesday, February 18 at 5:45 pm. St. Pat’s will play the winner of No. 4 Maxwell and No. 5 Medicine Valley. The Lady Wildcats are 9-10 on the season, while Medicine Valley is 4-13. They will play Monday at 6:30 pm.
The second game on Tuesday will feature No. 2 Sutherland against No. 3 Brady. The Lady Sailors are 15-5 on the season, while the Lady Eagles are 18-2. They will square off at 7:15 pm.
The D1-11 Subdistrict Championship will be played on Thursday, February 20 in Gothenburg at 7:00 pm, with the winner advancing to the District Finals the following week.
