(AP) — A 30-year-old Omaha man has been arrested, accused of a stabbing death in one of Lincoln’s neighborhood parks.
LeRon Branch was jailed on Saturday and awaits action on charges of manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Lancaster County Jail records say Branch remained in custody on Monday. Online court records don’t list the name of his attorney.
Police say the body of Jarvis Long was found the morning of Jan. 16 in Peter Pan Park. He’d been stabbed several times.
Investigators have said they think Long was walking between friends’ homes when he was attacked.
