(AP) — A 43-year-old woman accused of stealing and using customer account information while working at a Lexington convenience store has pleaded guilty.
Michelle Burkey is scheduled to be sentenced on April 28. Last week she pleaded guilty to attempted unauthorized use of a financial transaction device. Prosecutors had lowered the charge in return for Burkey’s plea.
Investigators say Burkey recorded customer account information while working as a clerk at the store. Two of the victims say they lost more than $2,700 total.
