(AP) — One person has been injured in an Omaha apartment kitchen fire.
The fire was reported around 7 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex on the southwestern side of the city. Control was gained in about five minutes and the flames were contained to just one unit.
Battalion Chief Kathy Bossman says extra firetrucks and firefighters were called in as a precaution because several families live in the building.
The injured person was taken to a hospital for treatment of burns.
