(AP) — Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Lincoln.

Lincoln police Capt. Jim Davidsaver said 21-year-old Justin Felty, of Lincoln, died in the Friday night shooting.

Davidsaver says Felty was visiting a friend at a Lincoln apartment complex when the friend accidentally shot him at about 7:30 p.m.

Davidsaver says the friend was handling a handgun when he accidentally fired it. The shot hit Felty in the chest.

The case is under investigation by the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office. An autopsy was to be performed Saturday.
