Huskers Fourteenth In Both Polls After Dramatic Comeback Win

They don’t give bonus points for dramatic comebacks in the AP and USA Today Coaches college football polls. Nebraska found that out this week as they stay put in the AP poll and moved up just one spot in the USA Today Coaches poll, leaving them ranked 14th in both polls. The Huskers pulled off the largest comeback in school history on Saturday in Lincoln, erasing a 27-6 deficit to defeat Ohio State 34-27. Taylor Martinez went a long way towards silencing some of his critics by throwing for two touchdowns and running for another as the Huskers offense found life in the second half. The Huskers moved their record over the last two seasons to 15-0 when rushing for 200 or more yards as a team. This week, Nebraska has a bye. They’ll resume their season at Minnesota next Saturday afternoon.
