Tebow Time In Denver; Broncos Lose Anyway

Fans in Denver got their wish as Tim Tebow finally got his chance to lead the Denver Broncos offense. But he had no better luck bringing a victory than the man he had been backing up. Tebow led a pair of touchdown drives in the second half after replacing Kyle Orton, but his last-second hail mary fell incomplete as the Broncos lost to the San Diego Chargers 29-24 at Mile High Stadium. Orton struggled badly in the first half as the Chargers took a 23-10 lead, paving the way for the switch to Tebow. The 2010 first-round pick rushed for a touchdown and threw for one on a screen pass that brought the Broncos to within 26-24 late in the fourth quarter, but the two-point conversion failed. Tebow completed four of his ten passes for 79 yards and rushed six times for 38 yards. The Broncos drop to 1-4 with the loss.
