Four Huskers were honored for their performances in Saturday’s 34-27 win over Ohio State. Sophomore quarterback Taylor Martinez was chosen as Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, junior kicker Brett Maher earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week, junior running back Rex Burkhead was honored as the Rivals.com Big Ten Player of the Week, and senior linebacker Lavonte David has been named the Lott Trophy National Impact Player of the Week. The four players all played key roles in Nebraska’s 34-27 come-from-behind victory. Martinez accounted for 293 total yards and three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing. Burkhead had 178 total yards and two TDs. David had 13 tackles and forced a fumble, which he recovered, and Maher hit a pair of field goals, including a career-high tying 50 yarder.
