The Lincoln County Detention Center is likely starting to feel like home for a North Platte man who has once again been arrested.

At around 8:00 p.m., on May 13, an officer with the North Platte Police Department observed 25-year-old Taylor Trembly driving a black Ford Expedition westbound on 2nd Street, near Welch Avenue.

Knowing that Trembly had a revoked license, the officer initiated a traffic stop and confirmed that Trembly was the driver.

According to Officer Rodney Brown, the officer observed two children, ages one and two, unsecured in the back seat of the vehicle.  The officer also noticed that Trembly was acting suspiciously, and kept reaching into his pants pocket.

In the interest of officer safety, Trembly was removed from the vehicle and placed in handcuffs.

A subsequent search of Trembly revealed a small baggie which contained a white powdery substance.  Brown said the substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine.  Additionally, a single Oxycontin was found in the vehicle.

Trembly was placed under arrest and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of Oxycontin, both Class IV felonies.  He was also charged with driving under revocation and child safety seat violations.

Trembly was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.

According to LCSO records, Trembly has been arrested four times since April 23 on charges ranging from trespassing to possession of stolen property.  He’s been arrested twice within the last week and a half.
