(AP) — A 62-year-old Omaha man has been given probation and must pay nearly $241,000 in restitution for filing false tax information.
Federal prosecutors say John Main was sentenced to five years of probation and must perform 100 hours of community service. Main also must serve six months of home confinement.
Prosecutors say Main was sole proprietor of Main Concrete and Construction in 2006 and 2007 when he underreported his gross receipts by more than $860,000. The tax loss to the federal government was computed at nearly $241,000.
