COLUMBUS, Neb. (AP) — A 31-year-old man has been given life in prison for stabbing to death a 51-year-old man in Columbus.
Eric Henry was sentenced on Tuesday by Judge Robert Steinke. In April Henry was convicted of first-degree murder for killing Steven Jorgensen at Jorgensen’s home during a botched robbery in May 2013. Steinke said during the sentencing hearing that Henry “relished this crime and the degree of violence rendered (on Jorgensen) made helpless by being bound.”
Two accomplices already have been imprisoned. Kimberly Henderson received a 50- to 60-year sentence, and Quentin Critser was given a 35- to 45-year sentence. They’d pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder.
