OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — No arrests have been reported in the shooting of a 6-year-old northeast Omaha girl.

Police say the shooting occurred around 7:15 p.m. Thursday It wasn’t clear whether Taelor Sentress was inside or outside a residence when the bullet struck her face. She was reported in good condition late Thursday at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.

Police said Taelor was shot on her birthday.

Officers are searching for two sport utility vehicles that may have been involved in the shooting.
