The Denver Broncos made one trade yesterday, and may still have more deals to make before today’s NFL trade deadline. The Broncos shipped wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, a Pro Bowler last season, to the St. Louis Rams. In return, the Broncos will receive a fifth or sixth round draft pick in the 2012 draft, depending on Lloyd’s performance the rest of the season. Lloyd was leading the Broncos in receiving yards at the time of the deal. With injured receivers Eddie Royal and Demaryius Thomas set to return this week, the Broncos could afford to add a pick in exchange for the veteran Lloyd, whose contract expires after this season. The Broncos may still look to trade Royal, who also has an expiring contract, and will reportedly listen to offers for their erstwhile starting quarterback Kyle Orton.
