OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting in a north Omaha neighborhood that left one man dead.

Omaha police say 51-year-old Eugene Coleman Jr. was killed late Saturday.

Officers were called to a report of shots fired just before midnight. Coleman was taken by ambulance to Creighton University Medical Center, where he died.

Officers were canvassing the neighborhood looking for witnesses. Anyone with information was asked to call the Omaha Police Homicide unit at 402-444-5656.
