Christopher William Tidball, 26, of North Platte, NE, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Chris was born January 10, 1988, to Michael C. Harty and Robin Eskew at North Platte. He was adopted by his loving parents, Lowell ‘Louie’ and Linda Hollenbeck Tidball and grew up in Edgemont, SD where he was a member of St. Jame’s Catholic Church. Chris graduated from Edgemont High School in 2007 and had been active in school sports.

Following his graduation, Chris joined the U.S. Navy on July 3, 2007, and graduated from Naval Bootcamp in Great Lakes, IL. He was stationed in Gulf Port, MS where his son, Blake Christopher Tidball, was born. In 2012 he moved to North Platte where he married Michele Marie Stroud on November 2, 2012. They made North Platte their home and had a daughter, Chloe Nicole. Chris had a lawn care and maintenance business. He was always a giving person and his greatest gift to five families was that he was an organ donor.

He is survived by his wife, Michele, and daughter, Chloe Tidball, both of North Platte; a son, Blake Tidball, of Green Bay, WI; his parents, Louie and Linda Tidball, of Edgemont; his birth mother, Robin Eskew, and two brothers, Andrew and Josh Eskew, all of North Platte; four sisters, Kelsey Harty, of Rapid City, SD, Deanna Foth, of Norcater, KS and Abigail and Elizabeth Tidball, of Edgemont; grandmothers, Jan Tidball, of Manhattan, KS and Mary Hollenbeck, of Edgemont; mother-in-law, Jolynn Stroud, of North Platte; his nieces and nephew, Adyson, Baylee, Myla, Charla and Bladen; a special uncle, Vern (Kimberly) Harty, of Vernal, UT; other grandparents and many other family members.

Chris was preceded in death by his birth father, Mike Harty; grandfather, Henry Clay ‘Bud’ Hollenbeck; nephews, Andrew Eskew, Jr., Bryten Johnson; and his father-in-law, Steve Stroud.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore followed by a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The casket will be closed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Jim Golka presiding. Burial will follow. Condolences may also be shared at odeanchapel.com. A memorial has been established for the family. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
