Family Fishing night in North Platte, Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North Platte City Pond just north of the girls softball complex. The public is invited to attend this free event. Fishing permits are required for those 16 and older that wish to fish.

This event is for anyone who wants to come fish – maybe you haven’t fished for a while and want to get back into the sport or maybe you are a family that doesn’t know where to start.

Anyone can come and learn to fish, as loaner equipment and bait will be available. Staff from Game and Parks will be on hand to assist anglers. Come join the fun.
