LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A new report says tax receipts for Nebraska state government were slightly below projections in July.

The Department of Revenue said Monday that the state’s net tax receipts for the month totaled $241 million. Nebraska was projected to collect $242 million in its certified revenue forecast.

The department report says net revenue from sales-and-use taxes and corporate income taxes came in higher than projected. Those amounts were offset by lower-than-expected net revenue from individual income taxes and miscellaneous taxes.

The state revenue projection was approved by the Nebraska Economic Forecasting Advisory Board in February.
