LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Larry Munksgaard is resigning as executive director of the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Foundation at the end of the month.

Munksgaard was a longtime athletic director at Lincoln Southeast High School and has been executive director of the Hall of Fame Foundation since 2011.

Munksgaard said he’s resigning to spend more time with his family.

Foundation president Dick Beechner said he hopes to have a new executive director in place by next month.
